The IDF Association of Artificial Vision and Robotics was established in November 2005 as a vehicle of the Institute of Design for Manufacturing and Automated Production of the Universitat Politècnica de València (IDF-UPV Institute) for the promotion and practice of scientific research, technology transfer to companies, technical advice and teaching in the field of design, prototyping, manufacturing, automation, robotics and vehicles.
The IDF Association promotes interdisciplinary research, technological development and innovation in the disciplinary fields of interest to its members, enabling the realization of higher quality and larger-scale R&D&I projects.
The IDF Association aims to be a "center of excellence" with a vocation for transferring the results of its research to the environment and society.
